Light Up Naples

I know I have said it before,.... but there is truly something magical about December in Naples, NY. When the air grows crisp, lights begin to twinkle across Main Street, and the entire village gathers to celebrate the spirit of the season. This year, Light Up Naples might just be one of the most heartwarming community events yet, bringing neighbors, families, and friends together for a festive evening full of cheer.

Hosted by the Naples NY Rotary Club, Light Up Naples takes place on Saturday, December 13th from 5–8 PM in the Village of Naples. It’s the perfect way to welcome the season, reconnect with your community, and take part in traditions that make Naples a truly special place to call home.

A Festive Stroll Through Downtown

The evening begins with a walk down Main Street, starting at the fire hall. Visitors can enjoy holiday lights, festive storefronts, music, and the cozy feeling only a small town at Christmas time can offer. Local businesses and homes take pride in decorating for the season, adding to the charm and warmth of the night.

Holiday Fun for All Ages

As you make your way through town, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Holiday treats, glowing decorations, and even a community-wide coloring event featuring artwork created by Naples Elementary School students. Many businesses will display the children’s artwork proudly in their windows, adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration.

The Naples Library and Naples Elementary School have materials available for anyone who wants to contribute their own creativity to the town’s festive displays. It’s a wonderful way to bring families together and see the town through the imaginative eyes of its children.

Gather at Memorial Town Hall

The celebrations continue at the Memorial Town Hall, where community groups join together to offer refreshments, warm drinks, and the comfort of fellowship. The Naples Fire Department will host a bonfire. Perfect for gathering around with hot cocoa in hand.

And of course, a holiday festival wouldn’t be complete without a visit from the jolliest guest of all: St. Nicholas himself. Children and adults alike can share a moment with Santa and soak in the excitement and magic he brings each year.

Giving Back to the Community

Light Up Naples is also a time to come together in the spirit of generosity. The Naples Rotary encourages attendees to donate non-perishable food items to Naples Open Cupboard. Monetary donations are also welcomed and deeply appreciated. Each contribution helps support local families and strengthens the community ties that make Naples unique.
